Poker Rules - Roll Your Own
Roll your own is another seven card stud variation. Every player is dealt 3 cards face down. The basic idea of the game is that your lowest card down (in the hole) becomes wild.
Once everyone has their three cards, everyone picks one card to flip up to show the table. (typically a high card or a non-paired card). A round of betting follows.
The next three cards are all dealt face up, with a round of betting after each.
The last card dealt can be taken up or down. Taking the card down can change your wild card if it is lower than your existing low hole card. Taking the card up will not change your wild card, but it will also let your opponents know that (a) you like your wild card and probably have a matching card on the board and (b) they also get to see your up card.
